Sorry, we still haven’t gone anywhere!

There was a tremendous amount of rain overnight, and it was really heavy at times. The forecast for today was pretty bad too. As we hadn’t unpacked the car yesterday evening, we did that first thing while the water tank filled. We found places for the final things, many of which headed for longer term storage spots, such as under the far side of the dinette.

Adrian had an appointment in Poynton at just after 11.30, so he headed off for that, and I went out for a walk to get some steps in. I went down Middlewood Way in the opposite direction, and came up onto the towpath by the bridge next to Lyme View Marina.

Although it didn’t rain all the time I was out, I did get rather wet and the towpath was a bit boggy in places. I popped out gain after lunch, and there were actually bits of blue in the sky — although the forecast still suggested we’d get more heavy rain. It hasn’t really materialised though, so maybe we should have headed out. Tomorrow is supposed to be sunny though, so we have high hopes of escaping the yard. Don’t hold your breath though, just in case!
