Well, it was a kind of snow. More like ice crystals or hailstones really — similar to polystyrene balls! And it was only a dusting.


The big job of the day was a trip to Tesco for a decent stock up. The store was the quietest we’ve seen it, which was good. When we got back Adrian unpacked the bags while I set about filling the water tank. We were down to about half, but it’s supposed to be colder for the next few days so we thought we’d fill it while we had the chance. After lunch we went for a walk, and you could clearly see where a boat had cut through the ice on the canal.

A bit later, two boats came the other way. This afternoon I’ve done baking for tomorrow and batch cooked a chilli, some of which will be going in the freezer. Adrian has been doing stuff in his charity role.
