Another nice sunny day, but still cold. Adrian had a hair cut booked in town, so while he went off to Poynton I started filling the water tank. We were down to just below a third full, and it took over an hour to fill. I also changed the bedding. After lunch we went for a walk, starting by heading south on the towpath, and saying hello to a little cat which popped out from the hedge and came over to us. The little cafe in a horse box at Bridge 19 was open.

We walked down to Bridge 20 and down the lane to Middlewood Way, where we started to return north. At the next bridge, we went up and followed the lane back to canal Bridge 19, where we took a path on the offside, which goes alongside a caravan park and then past a fishing pond.

I’ve made a small batch of mince pies, as we’re off to see family tomorrow.
