Another sunny day, and as Adrian had a call to do in the morning I went for a walk down the Middlewood Way towards Bollington, then across a field to the canal and back up the towpath. After lunch, we got in the car and drove to Cheadle Hulme for a visit to John Lewis to spend some gift vouchers, and have free cake in the cafe. From there we carried on to Stockport, where we got a train to Manchester. We had a mooch round the Christmas markets (most of which were just food stalls) and a look at the lights.

The main reason for going was that we had tickets to see Max McNown, who we’d first seen at Country2Country in London in March. It was a great show at a fantastic venue, Albert Hall, which is an old chapel.

We got the 2301 train back to Stockport from Manchester Piccadilly, and then it was about 20 minutes drive from the station back to the marina.
