Another dry day, and in fact the forecast for the next few days has improved too. With nothing particular to do we didn’t get up very early, but by mid morning needed to get out for a walk. We headed down Middlewood Way, meeting some Christmassy horses on the way.

We walked as far as Bridge 8, which was the one we’d walked to from Bollington the other day, then crossed to the canal towpath for the return. We saw one boat on the move, and also spotted a Highland cow.

We’d had the washing machine on this morning, and experimented with a different drying programme which seemed to give better results. So we thought we’d fill the water tank again. This afternoon, I’ve written an article and Adrian has been trying to get his knitting right! We’ve got a chicken roasting in the oven, and tonight we also have stuffing and pigs in blankets to go with it — because, why not? It’s nearly Christmas.
