Warm enough to turn off the stove

Another glorious sunny day. We were up early again with Macc, and then after breakfast I walked down to the Co-op to top up the fresh veg and get a few other things. Adrian had an appointment at a barber’s so it was his turn to go out next. We set off as soon as he was back, heading first to Bollington Wharf to turn around. The winding hole there is a bit odd, between two pontoons (as you can see above) but we got round without any difficulty and retraced our steps. By now it was warm enough that the front doors and the cratch were open, so Adrian turned off the Refleks stove; it’ll be going back on again this evening, but it’s a hopeful sign. Just outside Bollington, Adrian got off with Macc for a loo break, and they got back on at the next bridge. Macc was put in his crate for a rest and was soon fast asleep. We can monitor him remotely with a webcam.

Meanwhile we had lunch on the move: crumpets today.

We were aiming for the Braidbar mooring, having checked with Donna that it was free and ok for us to use it. Donna happened to be outside when we got there, so came on board to see Macc; he’s grown quite a lot since she saw him last, and he also performed his sit, down, and paw for her. Macc went for another sleep, so I’ve done this blog and gone for a little walk.
