Bank holiday Monday, and much better weather than forecast. Macc didn’t even get up until after 7.30 so that was also a bonus. Adrian headed off to Morrison’s, and Helen joined him so they did their shopping together. This afternoon we took Macc along to the festival site where the local vets was holding a dog show. He came second in the puppy class, and got a rosette and a goodie bag.

We also collected our certificate for travelling the further distance to get to the show.

The final event was the duck race down the River Salwarpe. 1500 ducks were set off down the river, and the first three to cross the line won prizes. All the winners were in the 400s, which was a shame as our tickets were in the 700s!

We’re heading to Briar Rose shortly for a farewell G&T. Tomorrow we head our separate ways, with us going up the Droitwich Junction Canal and then turning towards Birmingham, with the Tidys taking the Droitwich Barge Canal and turning towards Stourport. It’s been really lovely having the past ten days or so with them close by.
