Friday at the Crick Boat Show is trade day, so it’s always a bit quieter and a good time to get onto boats. At breakfast time, though, I had a listen to BBC Radio Northampton, because yesterday I was interviewed by the breakfast presenter about living on board and the show. It was on at 8.20.

I walked round to the show and managed to evade security to get in, find the editor of Waterways World, and collect our wristbands. We walked round the new boats and divided them up between us; there are far fewer boats here than usual. Adrian and I had lunch at the cafe, sat outside with Macc. Then Adrian went for a haircut, while I walked Macc back to the boat. Later in the afternoon I looked at more boats, and we went to the exhibitors drinks.

It’s been really hot and sunny all day, possibly a bit too hot. And it looks as though parts of the next few days will be even hotter.
