Re-stocking

The car has come into its own today, with plenty of work done. Billy had suggested we get a new battery for it though, after it failed to start at the garage yesterday. So I went online and ordered a click and collect one from Euro Car Parts in Chester. Of course this morning the car started perfectly — but then it wasn’t very cold, and you just know that it would let you down when you really needed it. I’d planned to do a big shop at the Tesco Extra just across the border into Wales, but while collecting the battery realised there was another Tesco and a Aldi right there; not as big, but big enough. And just round the corner was Pets at Home, so Macc has been resupplied too. Then I made a brief visit to my dad as I was really quite close.

This afternoon I drove down to Nantwich as Billy had offered to swap the batteries over. He’s got a workshop with all the things needed. It was actually a fairly straightforward swap which was a relief. I was hoping a parcel would have been delivered to the post office in Tattenhall by the time I got back but it hadn’t; if it comes in the next hour, I’ll go and pick it up. Meanwhile Adrian has been keeping Macc entertained, and doing more work for the charity he’s involved with.
