Yet more sunshine; let’s hope this is not summer! In fact, it was warm enough yesterday evening that we didn’t even light the stove, and while it was a bit chilly this morning it was fine. I really like the finger post at the locks up to the canal: 30 miles and 58 locks to Birmingham, but the other way is Gloucester which is 29 miles and 3 locks.
We had eggs for breakfast as we weren’t moving, and then Adrian spent the morning in town with Helen. They even had lunch out. When Macc woke up from his morning nap we walked round to Briar Rose, transformed into The Jam Boat.

Helen and Andy are trading in the marina for the weekend. The broken swing bridge means the footfall probably isn’t what it could be, but it’s a nice sunny spot. I’ve spent parts of the day preparing tonight’s dinner and dessert, as the Tidys are coming round. I’ve had the side hatch over the galley sink open, and you can tell it’s Saturday because the big boats are on the move.

Just above the pontoon when we’re moored is a big grassy area that’s part of the Riverside Park. There’s a section where the grass has been left to grow long, and Macc loves charging about in it.
