We drove up to Braidbar from Leicester today, for another visit. When we arrived, Kingley Vale was on one side of the arm, and we could see that we now have portholes and mushroom vents. The portholes are only fixed temporarily, as they’ll come out again when the boat goes into the paint dock.

We immediately noticed one thing, which was that there’s frosted glass in the porthole in the corridor opposite the shower room, when it should be clear. Donna at Braidbar is so used to people having walk-through shower rooms, she just automatically ordered two portholes with frosted glass. It’ll be swapped over. By the time we came out from our meeting with Jam and Donna, the boat had been moved over to the other side, so it’s closer to the woodwork shop, for when the lining out starts.
Inside, there’s all sorts of wiring in place, for lights, switches, the WiFi router and other appliances.

Those two long poles in the photo above are used to support the sheets of oak which line the ceiling. We were also able to see the timber that will be used for bulkheads and furniture, and all the tongue and groove. We’ve also made preliminary decisions on exterior colours and a few other things.
