The sunshine continues! We had a lovely evening with the Tidys last night, and even had the side doors over the dinette open. There’s quite a flow on the river, and it’s quite mesmerising watching it go past. This morning while Macc was supposed to be having a sleep, I went out for a walk. I went down to Diglis River Lock, where there are actually two locks of different sizes.

Past the lock there’s a striking bridge over the river, so I went over that to look back at the locks and have a look at the weir from the other side.

To the left of the weir is a fish pass (there’s a good shot of it here) and it’s open on certain days so you can see the underwater view. From further up the river I got a view of KV through the trees.

I carried on walking up to the big road bridge back across the river, and then down past the cathedral. Once I was back Adrian went out for another shopping trip with Helen, and managed to find more bargains in sales. This afternoon we’ve walked round to BR to see how the trading weekend had gone — pretty well was the answer.

Hi Adam,
when Macc is older take him over the bridge – turn left at the end for a footpath running along the river. Our old dog Meg hated the surface of the bridge deck, but was so desperate to get to the lovely walk that she would twinkle along the very edge which had a different surface.
